Twice as Much Silver as Competitive Cables
VDM-1 video / digital cable from AudioQuest uses twice as much silver-plating as many competitively priced cables. That gives it a big performance upgrade for a fraction of the cost of cables with a solid silver conductor.
VDM-1 is specially designed to minimize distortion across an extremely wide bandwidth. Low-loss engineering means more of your video or digital signal reaches its destination intact and undisturbed for maximum quality.
Works with a Wide Range of Signals
A 75-ohm cable is a conduit which needs to be able to carry a variety of signals. It needs to accommodate relatively low frequency analog composite video (up to 4.2 MHz), super-sensitive SP/DIF digital audio (up to 24.576 MHz), uncompressed HDTV (up to 750 MHz), or cable TV / broadband (up to 1 GHz). That's a series of heavy demands for a cable, but AudioQuest comes through with VDM-1, which is specially designed to carry all these signals with minimum interference from the cable.
2.5-Percent Silver Conductor
VDM-1 uses a silver-plated solid copper conductor that is 2.5-percent silver insulated with hard sell foam. Normal 2.5-percent silver found in many other video cables greatly improves high-frequency performance for a fraction of the cost of solid silver.
Nitrogen-injected Dielectric, 100% Coverage Shield
Nitrogen-injected dielectric reduces distortion that would otherwise be caused by the insulation material. The combination copper foil and silver-plated braided shield provides 100-percent protection coverage and lower distortion by eliminating RFI and EMI airborne interference. Gold-plated RCA plugs are professionally attached with highest-quality AudioQuest solder.Regular Prices: 4.5M $92.00; 7.5M $128.00.
