"This Would Be the One"
Minx is on a mission to unite the disconnected worlds of rich, luxurious hi-fi sound and design miniaturization. Developed to meet the needs of the most obsessive movie lover, the diminutive Minx 325 v2 5.1-channel system puts you right in the heart of the action without having to share your home with ugly black boxes.
With the addition of a second drive unit in each Minx Min 21 satellite speaker, this amazing home theater package delivers even greater depth and dynamics than a Minx Min 11-based system and instantly reveals its muscle as soon as the music, dialog, and effects begin. The Minx 325 system is also a true ace of bass thanks to a potent 300-watt digital subwoofer.
Developed to engulf even the largest of rooms the amazing Minx 325 v2 system will enrich your love for music and movies like never before.
"If I were buying a compact sat/sub set today, this would be the one," reports Mark Fleischmann in Home Theater magazine for April 19, 2013.
Minx Min 21 Speakers
The Minx Min 21 speaker from Cambridge Audio takes audio excellence to the next level with a twin driver configuration for even more power and greater dynamic range. Min 21 is the ideal choice for larger rooms and offers an amazing hi-fi experience whether you're listening to soothing classics or a live rock concert! You'll love the Min 21 for home theater, too.
"As far as the Min 21 satellite is concerned, I've never heard a better one, and I can count its equals on the fingers of one hand with a few fingers left over," raves Mark Fleischmann in Home Theater magazine. "The sats are just extraordinary."
The Mini 21 has a small but potent dual driver configuration. On top is a 2.25" BMR driver, and on the bottom is a 2.25" long throw woofer. Together they pump out huge amounts of sound
Balanced Mode Radiator Technology
The Minx magic is the result of an intensive two-year development program by Cambridge Audio's engineers to achieve extraordinary sound from incredibly small cabinets.
Cambridge Audio's exclusive Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) technology features in each Minx satellite speaker. BMR drivers utilize patented 'bending wave' principles normally seen in advanced flat panel speakers combined with pistonic movement (backwards and forwards) like in a traditional speaker design. This gives Minx a much wider frequency response than comparable style speakers for deeper and more powerful bass frequencies plus surprisingly spacious sound.
"Honeycomb Sandwich Membrane"
A honeycomb sandwich membrane is at the heart of BMR technology. Acting as a piston and a bending mode radiator simultaneously, it provides an incredibly wide frequency response.
Minx's machined aluminum extrusion provides a solid mechanical ground for the BMR driver. Ultra compact push-pull Neodymium magnets deliver astonishing power and more useable cabinet volume for superior dynamics. An acoustically damped thermo polymer cabinet offers extreme rigidity.
Quite naturally you want your speakers to fit into your home rather than designing your living space around your system. Once again Cambridge Audio's BMR adds value by delivering a much broader sound dispersion across the entire room, avoiding the typical 'sweet spot' pitfall of other style speakers, for the most enveloping sound imaginable.
Minx Min X300 Powered Subwoofer
Delivering even more punch and deeper bass response than the popular Minx X200 subwoofer, the Minx X300 powered subwoofer not only features a 300-watt digital amplifier, but larger drivers, too. Despite its technical prowess, the X300 is still far smaller than a typical subwoofer at a mere 11" square. It sounds far larger, though, and will add a huge shot of bass excitement to your entertainment.
Reviewing a Minx speaker system with Minx Min 21 satellites and a Minx X300 powered subwoofer, TrustedReviews.com for August 2011 reports, "The power on offer from such diminutive speakers defies physics, while the thrilling dynamics, clear detail and punchy, potent bass create the illusion that there are much larger speakers in the room."
TrustedReviews.com liked the Minx system so much, it awarded it the coveted "Recommended" status.
Significant Technological Advances
The X300 offers significant technological advances, implementing a forward firing driver for amazing punch and attack combined with an innovative Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) to deliver superior efficiency and enable a much smaller footprint. It boasts an 8" bass driver and an 8" passive radiator from aerospace aluminum cones for impressive bass performance.
It also feature a sophisticated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) designed by Cambridge Audio’s software engineers for the most sensational performance from unfeasibly tiny enclosures. Regardless of your room’s shape and size, Minx’s DSP and simple set-up adjustments ensure your system is perfectly customized for placement almost anywhere.
When you build a complete Minx system, all of the components will sound truly integrated for the purest possible audio whether you’re enjoying a live classical concert or an adrenaline-pumping car chase.

"Jamo and Tannoy have already set the bar very high in the compact speaker system market, but Cambridge Audio’s Minx S315 sails right over it. The power on offer from such diminutive speakers defies physics, while the thrilling dynamics, clear detail and punchy, potent bass create the illusion that there are much larger speakers in the room."
