The Top-of-the-line Hero
'AG' is the chemical abbreviation for 'silver,' and Kimber Kable's top-of-the-line Hero AG is a four-wire braided analog interconnect using four stranded silver conductors.
Hero AG relies on the same advanced gyroquadradic geometry that's used to such great success in critically acclaimed Hero copper interconnect. And it includes an additional silver conductor for increased noise rejection capability, plus dual-layer Teflon dielectric. The dielectric is clear Teflon.
Among its many other benefits, Hero AG offers increased noise rejection capability, allowing you to hear the details of your music as if against a silent, 'black' background.
Treating your system to Hero AG as opposed to lesser cables, you'll enjoy bass response that is tighter more defined. You'll also notice increased high frequency extension and bass impact. Increased midrange transparency and dynamics accompanies a wider soundstage. Vocals and instruments have an increased image focus, for extraordinary realism.
Hero AG is terminated with the WBT 0144, a locking RCA featuring a slotted center pin, Teflon insulation, and strain relief captured via a Torx screw. It uses a multi-layer plating process, with a final plating of 24-karat gold.

|This is an excellent cable|
This cable by Kimber offers exceedingly fast, open, and detailed sound for a very fair and realistic price. Even though it uses four silver conductors, it is not overly bright or fatiguing. You will hear it burn in over about 100 hours, and as it does, the sound stage deepens, widens, and has more air, space around the musicians and instruments, the individual keys of a piano are as easily discerned as the orientation of the piano, and fine nuances and subtle cues are readily heard with full and appropriate measures of attack, sustain, and decay. This cable will reveal the quality of your source components with ease and some forgiveness, but do not mate it with low quality gear in front of it or with tweeters that are naturally bright or lean. The sound of this cable is tight bass, deep bass extension, pitch definition of bass and midbass with no cluttering of either. It offers a midbass and lower midrange that is impactful, full bodied but not overly warm. Midrange is simply fabulous like a high end SET triode amp is all about. This cable brings the mids to life without overemphasizing them ... like a good SET amp. Cavernous staging depth, canyon-like staging width, and all of the precision and incisive speed of an Atma-Sphere OTL tube amp. Treble is the same way in that it just soars and takes you to such oh-so-pleasant places with all the air and loftiness that you could dream of. Nothing is rolled off or truncated or hazy or seems like you are looking through a muddied up window ... it is just the opposite in that triangles sound like triangles, cymbals sound like cymbals and not bursts of pink noise from a signal generator, and voices for male and female make you think that the performer is right in front of you. Splendidly done. Male and female vocals are fully fleshed out and vibrant and never thin or weak. Percussion and fast bass playing is a strength of this cable as the leading edge of the signal the attack is cheetah and gazelle like in that the sound justs erupts and explodes and illuminates just as it should. Fabulously crafted too by the way.
