"Brings Out the Best with In-Ear and Full-Size Headphones "
Hot on the heels of Micromedia's wildly successful MyDAC comes MyZIC. It's an innovative headphone amplifier at a very attractive and affordable price. Like all Micromedia products, it is designed and fully produced in France.
"Micromega's MyZic desktop amp brings out the best with in-ear and full-size headphones," reports Steve Guttenberg in his CNET.com review for May 29, 2013. "The MyZic and [Schiit Audio] Asgard are very good, and I can't say the differences between these two are huge, but the MyZic just edged out the Asgard."
MyZIC is compatible with nearly every headphone impedance and sensitivity. The professional Neutrik headphone 1/4" jack boasts headphone presence detection. When no headphone is connected, MyZIC will remain in standby mode. An LED status indicator shows red when MyZIC is in standby and white in operation, The 1M-ohm analog input prevents overloading the source output stage. The analog output provides analog input pass-through to avoid the need for a Y-connection.
Precision Volume Control
A horizontal rotary control allows precision listening level adjustment. Turning the volume down to the lowest level puts MyZIC in standby mode. An out-of-standby delay features avoids turn-on 'thump.' The built-in switch-mode universal power supply (85 - 265 Vac / 50 60 Hz) was designed by Micromega to offer exceptional sonic performance.
MyZIC comes in an elegant textured ABS housing in white or black. It meets the most stringent energy saving regulations, using extremely low power consumption in standby mode ( <150mW).
