Newest, Outstanding Affordable Phono Stage
The Musical Fidelity V90-LPS is an outstanding phono preamplifier which provides the ideal interface between high performance turntables and hi-fi amplifiers. Its signal path has been designed to offer a clean and transparent connection for your music to ensure it is heard exactly as the artist intended. The V90-LPS has virtually perfect RIAA, extremely low distortion, wide overload margin and very low noise. By every technical measure it is top quality.
Housed in a sleek, attractive case, the V90-LPS balances high-end performance with incredible value and is the perfect partner for a wide range of turntables. Its separate Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) inputs are each tuned to offer the best possible performance from their respective cartridges and convey a startlingly realistic audio performance.
The predecessor to the V90-LPS (the V-LPS) was honored by being included in The Absolute Sound 2012 High-End Audio Buyer's Guide. According to the magazine, "If outlandish prices for analog gear were stifling your urge to give vinyl a spin, the V-LPS is the phonostage for you. Equipped with dedicated inputs for MC and MM cartridges, it's quiet, clean, and ultimately irresistible."
The specs are very impressive not only for a phono stage in this price range, but for any phono stage. The V90-LPS has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz at +0, –0.1 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of >80 dB for moving magnet cartridges and >80dB for moving coil cartridges, 'A-weighted.' The highly accurate RIAA response is +/- 0.25 dB.
