Excels in Hi-fi and Home Theater Applications
Parasound's C85 v2 premium in-ceiling speaker provides the kind of quality and top-level audiophile performance that's usually reserved for expensive cabinet speakers.
You'll find lots of uses for a speaker that sounds this good. Your first thought for using an in-ceiling speaker might be distributed audio, and the C85 v2 makes an ideal choice. But with sound quality like this, the Parasound also excels in home theater and hi-fi applications. Itís a natural for building a system with 'invisible' surround channel speakers.
But you also won't believe how successful the C85 v2 can be in a two-channel stereo application when you don't want to clutter your floor with speaker cabinets and cables. Pick this Parasound for a clean look that delivers stellar sonics.
Richer, Fuller Sound - Even at Low Volume Levels
The C85 v2 has an 8" woofer with polypropylene-mica cone and butyl rubber surround for low bass response down to 48 Hz. Compared to standard 6.5" in-ceiling speakers, the C85 v2 provides richer, fuller sound, even at low volume levels.
The pivoting 1" aluminum diaphragm dome tweeter with ferrofluid offers smooth response and high power handling. A foam reflection-absorption ring around the tweeter assembly allows a smoother midrange response. The 12 dB/octave crossover network with premium component parts adds to the impressive performance.
The C85v2 has a fine mesh grill with removable acoustically transparent fabric mask, plus a paint shield to protect the speaker when you paint its frame to match your ceiling. The four-point "dog-leg" mounting system simplifies installation.
Outstanding Five-Year Warranty
Parasound provides an outstanding five-year parts, five-years labor limited warranty on the C85 v2. That's right, a full five years, compared to the 90-day warranty that most manufacturers offer. That should tell you a lot about Parsound build quality.

|At the price these are a real Deal!|
I purchased a pair of the C-65 and a couple of pairs of the C-70 speakers. They have quality connection terminals and are an easy install. Out of the box, like many speakers, sound like they have a wet towel over them. Once they have been broken in they really opened up and have a nice sound. If you have the space I would recommend the larger C-70, has a richer sound and depth. At regular price I would want to see and hear some different things but at the closeout price, good luck finding a better deal.
