Adjustable Arm Height Spacer for Rega Three-Point Tonearms
This is an all-in-one 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm height adjustment spacer for Rega three-point tonearms. When Rega arms are fitted to turntables from other manufacturers, it may be necessary to add one of these adjustable arm height spacers to achieve the correct arm height.
Adjustment is rarely required on Rega turntables. If adjustment is necessary, it is recommended that you remove the turntable cover when using the 4mm or greater setting, as the balance weight may contact the lid. On all Rega turntables spacers should not be necessary, unless you are using another manufacturer's cartridge.
A Note About VTA
Arm-height or VTA adjustment can be a controversial subject. Rega believes that the integrity of the arm fixing onto the arm mounting board is much more important than the questionable facility of arm adjustment. The arm should be reasonably parallel to the record surface or slightly lower at the mounting. The only time a spacer is necessary to raise the arm height is if the rear of a cartridge is hitting the record while playing.
