"Editors' Choice" Award Winner 2007
Sanus Steel Foundations offer rock-solid support for bookshelf speakers, compact monitors, and more. The highly affordable series is available in a range of different heights and provides an enviable combination of eye-pleasing aesthetics, ear-pleasing performance, and budget-pleasing value.
Award Winning Performance
Sanus Steel Foundations Speaker Stands won an "Editors' Choice" award in the Winter 2007 Home Theater Buyer's Guide from The Perfect Vision magazine.
"Sanus' thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed SF-series speaker stands to everything you want a good set of stands to do, at a price that makes sencs," reports The Perfect Vision, which praises them as "strong, rigid, and resonance-free."
Solid Base and Sand-Fillable Pillars
Steel Foundation's solid base minimizes the speaker's loss of energy and optimizes sound reproduction. The base is made of a contoured 10-gauge steel plate anchored to the support pillars.
The support pillars consist of 2"-diameter contoured steel to minimize diffraction. Two pillars are used for added strength and rigidity, and they may be filled with shot or sand for added mass and resonance control.
Resonance Control Features
A unique resonance-damping ring is sandwiched between the top plate and pillars to further decouple your speaker for room vibration. The steel top plate includes both the Sanus adjustable speaker isolation studs and neoprene isolation pads.
Adjustable carpet spikes improve sound quality and add stability. Rubber feet are included for wood or tile floors. The pillars and top plate have a black powder-coated finish for lasting beauty.

|solid, stable - great|
great stands. i bought these and spray painted them white - the surface offers itself for you to custom paint. assembly always takes a little while with good speaker stands - but it is straight forward and the pieces fit very well. you end up with very solid stands. i didnt feel the need to fill them with sand, they seem heavy enough. i put the KEF LS50 which fit on the top plate *perfectly* on Isonode feet on the top stand. it all works to perfection. highly recommended - great solid stand at very reasonable cost.
