The Portable Headphone with Great Sound
If you like to take great-sounding headphones with you to the office or on a trip but don't like all the space they take up, you'll love the new Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones, especially with their passive noise-isolation feature.
"Keep Music In, Keep Noise Out"
The HD 280 Pro delivers exceptional isolation coupled with innovative, fold-up design for compact portability. Designed to deliver exceptional isolation from ambient noise with precise and linear sound reproduction at high SPLs, the HD 280 Pro combines high fidelity with practical design and maximum comfort. Its exceptional attenuation of up to 32 dB makes the Pro particularly useful for use in high-noise environments, in outside broadcasts, and for DJs.
"Forget the pretty Bose headphones at the Apple Store," suggests Jacob Bernstein in his January 10, 2005 review for New York magazine at newyorkmetro.com. "These 'sealed' models (they keep music in, noise out) offer better sound at two-thirds the price."
Soft, Form-Fitting Design
The HD 280's soft, form-fitting, ergonomically designed circumaural earpieces remain comfortable for long periods of listening and can be rotated for flat mobility and space-saving transport. You can even use just one phone for single ear monitoring.
The single-sided coiled cable gives users maximum flexibility. All wearing parts such as the single-sided coiled cable, the ear pads and the headband padding, are available as spare parts and are easy to replace, ensuring long-life and functionality.

I read reviews of both these headphones and another well known brand. Both outstanding and both used by studios and filmakers worldwide as THE reference brand. So I bought both. I pick the HD 280 for the best sound and outside sound isolation !

If you are buying these for the noise isolation, then youve made the right choice. Try mowing the lawn or sitting on a plane and all you hear is good music. If you are buying them stictly for sound quality, you can do better. As the ad says, for noise isolation headphones these are a heck of a lot better deal than the $300 Bose
