The P3 Power Plant is PS Audio's most affordable full function Power Plant yet. With 3 separate regenerated zones and a 4th, high current filtered zone, the P3 can handle any size system you want to power. From the biggest power amplifiers to the smallest pieces of source equipment, this combination of regenerated AC coupled with a high current unrestricted filtered zone will work magic on your system's performance.
The P3′s AC regenerator takes the power you're given from the utility, converts it to DC and then regenerates brand new and perfect power once again for up to 750 watts of pure AC, enough to power small to medium sized systems including the power amplifier, or everything in your audio chain that provides the all important control and source material. You can then plug bigger amps or subwoofers into the P3′s high-current filtered and protected zone for up to 1750 watts of clean power.
While the P3 does not feature a touch screen it does have the exact same feature set as the P5 and P10 using its built in web access portal.

Most high-end power conditioners raise output impedance as opposed to lowering it. Powerful and Patented 'Class AB' Amplifier Inside
Inside the P3 Power Plant it's the real deal. Not a collection of coils and filters to help Band Aid the power like you'd find in a conditioner, but a powerful and patented Class AB amplifier delivering up to 1000 watts (peak) and 750 watts continuous of pure AC to your equipment. The pure sine wave that is used to generate the new AC power is delivered from a low distortion DAC built into the Power Plant along with sophisticated software based measurement and monitoring systems that keep the output of the P3 low impedance, low distortion and lightning fast.
Internet Control and Monitoring
The P3 has network technology on board that provides unprecedented control and monitoring of all your connected devices. Automatically reboot routers, modems, and network devices when Internet dropouts occur. Schedule devices to power on and off automatically optimizing power consumption in your system. Receive emails automatically when power occurrences occur, as the PerfectWave P3 is automatically reacting on it's own. This is all made possible by PS connected technology and PS Audio's connected servers.
The P3 will monitor your power line quality and report any problems to you through the web page, text alerts, or emails sent anywhere you wish. It's up to you. The P3's real-time and online measurement system includes surges, voltage levels, power usage and power quality as measured by THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) on the line.
The data is stored on PS Audio's servers and is available via the web interface for the P3. You can look at power quality over time or drill down to specific times of day to find out if there's a problem involving the home's power. Sagging voltages, high distortion, and multiple brownouts are occurring more than one might think. With the installation of a P3 in the system, you can accurately record events and present them to the utility company for repair or just keep a log.
Once your system is powered by a P3 Power Plant, all you need to do is go to the web through any web enabled device, including a Blackberry or iPhone, and access the P3's control panel. From the P3's control panel, any connected equipment can be rebooted, turned on or off, or have its status checked. It's that simple.
Input Naming and Customization
With four zones available on the P3, it is important to know which piece of equipment is being powered by which zone so you can access from either the front panel or the web interface. On a P3 it's easy. You can name each zone anything you wish via the P3's easy to use graphical interface available online.
Once the outlets are named it's quite easy to schedule when they turn on/off or the sequence that they are powered on. For example, you may wish for all your sources to turn on first, warm up, and then when you decide enough time has elapsed, your power amps will turn on.
IR and Trigger Controls
In the back of the P3 are two mini jacks that can be assigned as either an IR input or output or a DC trigger transmitter or receiver. For the IR capabilities, the P3 can be assigned up to 15 separate IR commands for any zone, and these IR broadcasts can be triggered by any number of assignable events. This helps P3 maintain complete control over not only the AC power to your system, but by directly controlling that same equipment through a remote control.
If you have equipment that needs a DC trigger to turn it on or off remotely, you can assign one of the mini jacks to be either the sending or receiving unit for these commands and remotely turn on/off equipment or have that equipment remotely turn on/off the P3.
