Save on LS-S300-Based Speaker System
Athena Technologies is one of the best-reviewed speaker brands in the world. The Athena LS Series has shielded drivers, including a fast, lightweight 1" aluminum dome tweeter, plus woofers made of extremely rigid and lightweight Composite Fiberglass.
And here's a money-saving way to get a no-holds-barred home theater speaker package at a low, low price.
What's in the package? It includes a pair of Athena Technologies LS-300 floorstanding speakers, a fast-reacting LS-C50 center channel speaker, a pair of LS-50 bookshelf speakers as rear surrounds, an Audio Pro Sub Supreme powered subwoofer, and 100 feet of Kimber Kable KWIK-16 in-wall speaker cable.
Athena LS-300 Floorstanding Speaker
Athena Technologies' LS-300 floorstanding speaker uses the same driver complement as the company's full-frequency bookshelf speaker. But thanks to the floorstanding cabinet with a ported design, the LS-300 really cranks out the bass. You'll swear you're hearing a much larger driver than the remarkably efficient 6.5" woofer that helps keep the cabinet size small and the silhouette narrow. At only 9.7" wide, you can fit this speaker just about anywhere.
In designing the LS-300, Athena's Gordon Von Kessel engineered a ported system with a rigid curved cabinet. The 6.5" Composite Fiberglass woofer delivers fast and low bass response that puts excitement in movies and hi-fi. The super lightweight 1" aluminum dome tweeter is also fast and agile with a wide dispersion pattern that fills the room with beautiful music.
The new LS cabinets are gracefully curved for a modern look, and they're more rigid for improved imaging and tighter bass. The all new shielded drivers include a light and fast 1" aluminum dome tweeter, plus woofers made of extremely rigid light-weight Composite Fiberglass. These drivers play loud, but they're extremely low in coloration.
The frequency response of the LS-300 is 30 Hz - 20 kHz, and sensitivity is 90 dB. Power handling is 250 WRMS. The speaker is 34.7" tall, 9.7" wide, and 11" deep. The LS-300 features removable grilles.
Athena LS-C50 Center Channel Speaker
It's a particular challenge engineering a compact center channel speaker. That's because the center channel speaker carries the weight of reproducing all of the dialog of a movie. If a center speaker delivers anything less than crisp, full frequency sound, you'll miss a lot of the dialog and also be cheated out of other soundtrack thrills.
Athena Technologies' Gordon Van Kessel designed the new LS-C50 center channel speakers to be as compact as possible, but not at the extent of convincing sonic performance. While it may look small, the LS-C50 delivers a big dialog and music punch, thanks to its clever cabinet design but an optimized driver system.
The LS-C50 features dual 3.5" Composite Fiberglass drivers for clear midrange reproduction and a surprising amount of bass response. The super fast .75" aluminum dome tweeter delivers smooth, liquid highs plus wide sound dispersion for good sound throughout a room.
Athena LS-50 Bookshelf Speakers
They're small in size, but true Goliaths in spirit. The Athena Technologies LS-50 satellite speakers will smite you with their rich sound quality. They make unbeatable rear surrounds in a LS-300-based theater system.
The LS-50 features a 3.5" Composite Fiberglass driver paired with a super fast .75" aluminum dome tweeter. Thanks to the engineering skill of Athena Technologies' designer Gordon Von Kessel, the LS-50 maintains a big voice even though the cabinet is less than 7 inches tall. It fits just about anywhere.
The LS-50 offers a frequency response of 90 Hz - 20 kHz, and sensitivity is 84 dB. Power handling is 100 WRMS. The speaker is 6.9" tall, 4.7" wide, and 5.6" deep, and weighs 3 lbs.
Audio Pro Sub Supreme Powered Subwoofer
Let low bass reign supreme in your two-channel or multi-channel set-up with the Sub Supreme. Audio Pro's Sub Supreme is a powered subwoofer with a 10" long-throw woofer. It uses the company's patented Ace-bass technology to deliver huge amounts of low-frequency sound from small enclosures. As a result, Sub Supreme sounds much bigger than it actually is. It's the perfect subwoofer for small to medium-size rooms.
Sub Supreme is equipped with a 175-watt amplifier and down-fired bass reflex ports that maximize airflow while giving minimal distortion. A variable low pass filter and zero to 180-degree phase control rewards any discerning audiophile with an active and thoroughly satisfying subwoofer.
Sub Supreme has a 25-100 Hz frequency response, measures 13.7" wide, 16.3" high, and 15.7" high, and weighs 33 lbs.
100 Feet of Kimber Kable KWIK-16
Dual-gauge configuration KWIK-16 from Kimber Kable boasts a large-gauge and small-gauge conductor for each channel, or four spiraled conductors in all. This unique 16-awg strand design, along with Kimber's special-recipe dielectric, adds up to one of the best sounding bulk cables for home theater and distributed sound you're ever likely to hear. The slippery PVC outer jacket pulls easily through walls. |
