No-Compromise Ceiling Speakers
Monitor Audio's Silver CP in-ceiling speakers are designed for ultra-discreet custom installations which remove the need for floor or stand mount speakers altogether.
If you place a high value on space, style and décor but would rather not compromise sound quality, the Silver CP speakers offer the same driver technologies as the Silver RX range in a back-box design, which flush mounts in the wall for a seamless blend with decor. Unlike many in-ceiling speakers, they provide a dedicated enclosure for the drivers, allowing a superior full-range performance, which is closer to that of their conventional Silver RS counterparts.
The Silver CP speakers will liberate living space and lend a sophisticated wire-free look to any room. By sharing driver technologies with the Silver RX speakers, they offer the additional flexibility to mix and match systems of floor, stand, in-ceiling and in-wall speakers for the perfect combination of sound quality and style anywhere in the home.
An additional high frequency control allow you to set-up the system precisely to obtain optimum performance within the listening environment.
Ceramic-Coated Aluminum Magnesium Drivers
By refining its computer-aided Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Monitor Audio has developed new ways to shape its core driver material for even greater fidelity. C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminum/Magnesium) is very light and very strong, and so is ideal for the driver cones.
Monitor Audio's C-CAM gold dome tweeter now extends high frequency performance to beyond 35 kHz, enabling you to enjoy the full potential of current and future wide-band HD audio and home theater formats. A newly damped rear chamber provides greater control for a smoother more accurate response.
Advanced FEA simulations have also helped the process of fine tuning the RST (Rigid Surface Technology) C-CAM mid-bass drivers, originally created for Monitor Audio's celebrated Gold Reference speakers and now incorporated by the Silver RX range. Their super-stiff dimpled profiles are more resistant to break-up under high drive conditions and so produce a wider range of purer frequencies. Each driver's rigid, non magnetic cast polymer chassis is vented to improve airflow cooling and to equalize pressure around the driver motor, resulting in the ability to play louder and cleaner. |
