A Versatile Partner for Flat Panel Displays
The VS300 is designed for on-wall, center channel and tabletop applications with today's flat panel displays. It combines a new acoustical design with novel technology and dramatic contemporary styling.
Its unique mounting bracket allows it to match the depth of today’s flat panel displays and rotate through a broad range of angles so that it can be aimed inward for best stereo effect or used in surround applications.
Never compromising performance for design elegance, the VS300 offers a unique switch selectable EQ for wall-mount settings to compensate for "wall-bounce" effects. An optional desktop base turns the system into a compact mini tower.
Despite its slim profile, the performance of the VS300 shouldn't be underestimated. Dual 4.5" woofers provide powerful bass extension along with a 1" Neodymium magnet tweeter that delivers accurate high frequency reproduction.
"Your Ticket to Home Theater Bliss"
"If you're after a home-theater speaker system that matches your flat-panel TV and makes great sound, PSB's VisionSound VS300 may be your ticket to home-theater bliss," says Vince Hanad's review in the June 2006 Home Theater & Sound magazine.
"The VisionSound series is a versatile collection of speakers that don't compromise sound performance for style," observes Grant Clauser in the March 2007 issue of E-Gear. "Highly recommended."
"The VisionSound system produces a huge soundstage," reports Thomas J. Norton in his April 2007 review of the VS300 and VS400 speakers for Ultimate AV magazine. "It will play louder more cleanly than most listeners will ever want to go. The VS300s, used as surrounds, also blend in smoothly with the rest of the system, and they may, of course, be wall-mounted using their supplied brackets."
"Tough to Beat"
"PSB's VisionSound 300 system offers the rich, suave sound quality you'd expect from a big freestanding speaker, but in the sleek, visually unobtrusive format of a plasma system," says Chris Martins in the July / August 2006 issue of The Perfect Vision.
"Add to that the VS300's flexible mounting options and sophisticated crossover network, and you've got speakers whose versatility is tough to beat."
"A Smart Approach"
"Rather than offer dedicated front, center, and surround VisionSound models, the engineers went with a single decision that you can use through your home theater," reports Steve Guttenberg in the September 2006 issue of Home Theater magazine. "That's a smart approach. I find that using the same speaker up front and as surrounds always produces the most coherent soundstage."
Breakthrough 'Equalization' Switch
PSB's VisionSound Series presents a unique blend of high performance, dramatic styling and flexible placement options. These models are the ideal complement for today's LCD, plasma, and other sophisticated video displays.
In spite of their sophisticated style, the VisionSound Series achieves a sonic performance without compromise. Unlike most speaker makers, PSB recognizes that freestanding speakers require different equalization curves than do wall-mounted speakers. The VisionSound VS300 offers a unique switch selectable EQ for wall-mount settings to compensate for "wall-bounce" effects.
All units are enclosed in rigid aluminum extrusions, which are highly durable and acoustically inert. They use high excursion 4.5" diameter, wide suspension woofers and a vented system design to get maximum bass from minimum dimensions.
A carefully contoured "waveguide" blends seamlessly into the obstruction-free face of the system's cabinet optimizing the performance of the 1" aluminum dome tweeter. |
