Rega RS3 Floorstanding Speaker
The RS3 is Rega's entry-level floor standing loudspeaker model. However there is nothing entry level about its performance. A full 2.75 inches taller than its acclaimed predecessor, it has improved bass response and makes great use of our Rega's ZRR tweeter technology.
The RS3 is an exceptionally technical loudspeaker using a three-driver system. It offers extraordinary accurate low frequency and a very even mid with extended high quality treble performance. These attributes set the RS3 apart from the competition, producing an extremely versatile, dynamic and musical sound.
Hand-Assembled Drive Units
All Rega bass and mid/bass units are hand assembled in house to Rega's exact specifications. The RS3 uses the company's renowned RR125 Bass/Mid drive unit, which has excellent damping of cone resonances, resulting in a smooth midrange response. The RR125 uses a 3.5" paper cone with 5.5" cast-alloy chassis.
The RS3 also benefits from a new eight-layer voice coil on the side firing 5" driver. This voice coil design eradicates any crossover components for this driver. The bass unit seamlessly integrates with the mid/bass unit and with exceptional timing. This is without compromising any of the midrange and treble performance which Rega is renowned for.
The RS3 also uses Rega's new HF20-ZRR high frequency unit which is uniquely designed by Rega. By removing unwanted rear reflection the design of the ZRR tweeter helps maintain a distortion free response. This is a .75" fabric dome tweeter driven from a .75" voice coil.
Sound and Set-up
The drive units in the RS3 have been designed with great care. The crossover needs no additional filter networks to work with the drive units. Unlike most manufacturers who boast about the complexity of their crossovers, Rega is proud of its simplicity. This simplicity means that bi-wiring will offer no advantage. However, bi-amping will improve the performance of both mid/bass and tweeter units.
Because the RS3 also has a front firing port, it can be placed against a wall if required. The RS3 is suitable for all room environments due to its design of a side firing system. This system can offer improved sound stage and dynamics. It also allows the RS range of speakers to cope well in difficult rooms.
Cabinet Design
With emphasis on sound quality, the real wood veneer complements the overall construction of this high quality cabinet. It has sleek and subtle appearance presenting a modern stylish and affordable design.
The loudspeaker uses a 'comb' filter in the lower section of the cabinet to smooth out and improve tonal balance of the low end Bass response. It also helps with bracing the cabinet.
Rega has worked hard on achieving a dynamic, stylish and most of all enjoyable loudspeaker. We think you will agree when you audition the RS3, it is one of the finest loudspeakers you'll find.
Rega RS1 Bookshelf Speaker for Surround Channels
Rega's RS1 loudspeaker offers exceptional sound quality and value for money. Its accurate low frequency and very even extended high quality treble generate a well balanced and enjoyable performance. These attributes set the RS1 apart from the competition, producing an extremely versatile, dynamic and musical sound.
Hi-fi Choice magazine for April 2009 awarded the RS1 "Best Buy" honors and praised it as "a beautifully coherent and exceptionally informative speaker… the RS1's bottom end is very clean and agile, delivering an impressive amount of musical detail."
Hand-Assembled Driver Units
The RS1 uses a cast-alloy chassis 5.5" unit with a solid central phase plug and a 3.5" paper cone, driven from a .75" voice coil. This unit offers excellent damping of resonances, and a unique paper cone. The RR125 has a smooth response, which aids seamless bass driver integration and exceptional timing.
The driver is hand assembled, in house, to Rega's exact specifications. This gives the company enormous flexibility in design and ensures Rega speakers produce a unique sound compared to OEM drivers purchased 'off the shelf.'
The RS1 also uses Rega's new HF20-ZRR high frequency unit which is uniquely designed by Rega. By removing unwanted rear reflection the design of the ZRR tweeter helps maintain a distortion free response. This is a .75" fabric dome tweeter driven from a .75" voice coil.
Pride in Simplicity
The drive units in the RS5 have been designed with great care. The crossover needs no additional filter networks to work with the drive units. Unlike most manufacturers who boast about the complexity of their crossovers, Rega is proud of its simplicity.
The RS1 has an unusually even bass response for a small loudspeaker. It allows them to be mounted directly onto the wall, or alternatively to be placed on shelves or stands. This allows the user greater flexibility in positioning than is normal.

Front-Firing or Down-Firing Flexibility
Dynamo is user-configurable for either front- or down-firing operation.
