Everything that VPI has learned in 27 years of manufacturing the world’s best and most copied record cleaning machines is incorporated into its new HW-27 Typhoon. The ultra heavy duty Typhoon offers twice the suction power of the critically acclaimed HW-17, which means the Typhoon is the most powerful machine on the market.
This machine is so powerful you will hear things from your records that were never revealed by other cleaning machines. While the Typhoon provides a tornado of suction power, it has only half the noise level of the HW17 - it's quieter than its predecessor by roughly 6 db, thanks to the .75"-thick MDF which provides internally damping of vacuum and motor noise.
Typhoon is masterfully made. It has a precision sheet metal chassis with a stainless steel interior. All chassis parts are engineered to a tight tolerance of +/- .004 inch. The platter is constructed from solid acrylic, sitting on a bearing assembly similar to a turntable.
Automatic fluid application provides no-fuss record cleaning. The Bi-directional cleaning action safely and thoroughly scrubs record grooves deep. |
