"Solid, Cinema-worthy Bass"
World renowned for stretching the laws of physics with their diminutively sized high-performance loudspeakers, Soundmatters introduces foxLO – a true hi-fi subwoofer small enough for desktop or suitcase. It's only 2.5" high, 4.5" wide, and 6.3" deep, when sitting flat. The foxLO adds a full octave of clean deep bass to the already remarkable foxL series of pocket-sized portable speakers.
"Even though the versatile little foxLO weighs in at a mere 1-1/2 pounds, it certainly delivered solid, cinema-worthy bass," notes Scott Tharler at Discovery.com. "Despite the foxL's already ample low-end, plugging the foxLO into its subwoofer output was like kicking in the turbo on an already fast sports car."
Patented Linear Magnetic Drive™ Woofer
The foxLO uses a patented Linear Magnetic Drive™ woofer with proprietary dual passive radiator system and a huge 30 watts of built-in amplification for bass way bigger and much lower than you'd ever expect to emanate from such a tiny box!
For foxL or Other Powered Speakers
It's easy to connect the foxLO to your foxL. Just plug it into the subwoofer output of your foxL. You can use foxLO with other powered speakers, too. Its Full Pass Audio Out (via 3.5mm mini-jack) provides a full-range signal to speakers that lack a subwoofer output. And if that's not enough, you can also connect the foxLO to a laptop and use it's full range pass through audio.
Switchable Limiter Circuit
You get lots of control with your foxLO. The switchable Limiter Circuit has an 'off' position that allows the foxLO to play louder with dynamic music and soundtracks and an 'on' position providing the deepest bass output, but reduced maximum output level capabilities to prevent/reduce overload. The Level control lets you make small adjustments from the center position for best sound quality and to avoid overload.
"Even though the versatile little foxLO weighs in at a mere 1-1/2 pounds, it certainly delivered solid, cinema-worthy bass in its debut at the show. Despite the foxL's already ample low-end, plugging the foxLO into its subwoofer output was like kicking in the turbo on an already fast sports car. And for those who don't have a foxL but still want the foxLO's 25 amplified watts of boom, the foxLO can be connected directly to a laptop to take advantage of its full pass-through audio."
