An Upgraded Bulk Speaker Cable for Upgraded Sound
Dual-gauge configuration KWIK-16 from Kimber Kable boasts a large-gauge conductor and a small-gauge conductor for each channel, for four spiraled conductors in all. This unique 16-awg strand design, along with Kimber Kable's special-recipe dielectric, adds up to one of the best sounding highly affordable bulk cables for home theater and distributed sound you're ever likely to hear. The slippery PVC outer jacket pulls easily through walls.
Kimber Kable KWIK 16 is an upgraded speaker cable for upgraded sound compared to any other cable at or near the price. It excels at in-wall installations, but its performance is so good, it deserves to be used anywhere when bulk cable might be desired, such as in multichannel applications.
Dual-Gauge Strand Construction
KWIK 16 uses dual-gauge strand construction and a PE dielectric. The four-conductor design is used in hybrid braid style for two-conductor termination. One conductor of each color contains finer gauge copper strands, while the other conductor of each color contains heavier gauge copper strands. When the two gauges are combined, they serve to help minimize resonance within the cable stranding, thereby optimizing performance.
Smoother, Cleaner, and More Grain-free Sound
KWIK 16 boasts a PE dielectric that is far superior to the commonly used PVC dielectric, both electrically and in terms of sound quality. PE provides a smoother, cleaner, and more grain free sound. The off-white PVC outer jacket is durable and pulls smoothly through studs without sticking or binding. The neutral color of the jacket is a benefit with regard to decor, should the cable become visible. In addition, convenient foot labeling on the jacket makes it easier to track cable usage.
Kimber Kable KWIK 16 is 16 AWG and UL / CL2 rated. It has an outer diameter of 0.25."
