Rega Research founder Roy Gandy launched the British company in 1975 with the highly successful Planar 2 turntable. In 1983, the company introduced its legendary and wildly popular RB300 and RB250 tonearms, and in March 1988 developed the Bias and the Elys phono cartridges. Rega's first line of loudspeakers soon followed.
Since this time, Rega has introduced a whole new electronic equipment range together with an exciting new series of loudspeakers. The company policy is to manufacture high quality, specialist hi-fi components that are reliable, consistent, and sensibly priced. Rega is located on the Temple Farm Industrial Estate in Southend-on-Sea, England.
