The 9000P is the flagship power amp in Audiolab’s 9000 Series. In stereo it makes 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms, and flipping one switch on the back turns it into a 300-watt monoblock, so buying a second one later doubles your system.

That choice is the point. Audiolab built the 9000P as the partner for its 9000Q preamp, but it works just as well with any preamp or with a streamer that has its own volume control. Balanced XLR and RCA inputs are both fitted, so nothing needs an adapter.

Into 4 ohms the stereo rating climbs to 160 watts a side, and bridged it reaches 380 watts into that same load. Hard-to-drive speakers get real headroom, so the amp never runs out of breath when the music gets loud.

Power Supply

A custom 320VA toroidal transformer feeds four 15,000µF capacitors, 60,000µF of reserve in total. That reserve is why a 100-watt amp keeps its grip through a deep bass note, and it also backs the 15-amp peak output current.

The 9000P has no volume control, so it takes its level from a preamp, a processor, or a source with variable output. Pick the input with the LINE/XLR switch on the back, run speaker cables to the single stereo pair of posts, and that is the whole job.

For bridged mono, set the STEREO/BRIDGE switch to bridge and feed the signal to the LEFT input only. A 12V trigger input lets a preamp wake the amp for you. Switch the 9000P on last and off first.
