The DCD-3000NE is Denon's Reference disc player, and it puts four ES9018K2M converters inside one chassis. Most players use one. Four means each is asked to do less, and doing less is how a converter stays clean.

Those chips handle PCM to 384kHz and 32 bits, and DSD to 11.2MHz. Ultra AL32 Processing sits ahead of them, upsampling the disc data so the converters have far more information to work from.

It reads SACD and CD, plus recordable CDs and DVDs carrying files. This is a disc player and only a disc player, which is why the money went into conversion rather than a screen and a network stack.

The fixed analog outputs use machined brass RCA connectors, with optical and coaxial digital alongside. The case is 434mm wide, 405 deep and 138 tall, weighs 16.8kg and draws 35 watts.
