Featuring an all-new, high-value tonearm design, the Mark-1 delivers exceptional rigidity and internal damping, with a precision aluminum headshell, CNC-machined tonearm flange, and fully adjustable VTA - a feature almost never seen in this price-range. The OM 5E features elliptical stylus that provides balanced and distortion-free playback. Elliptical diamonds are able to follow the groove oscillations more accurately than spherical diamonds due to their contoured shape. This results in better tracking and less distortion.

Low Noise, Belt-Drive Design

The Mark-1's low noise, belt-drive design uses an AC synchronous motor for superior speed stability at both 33-1/3 rpm and 45 rpm. The precision stainless steel main bearing is sheathed in Teflon® for noise-free fluid operation. Special vibration-damping adjustable feet provide isolation and make leveling a cinch.
