Way Affordable Dual-Plinth Turntable

The Music Hall MMF-5.3 turntable is a two-speed belt driven audiophile turntable employing the unique dual-plinth construction originated by Music Hall.

The distinctive design of the MMF-5.3 isolates the critical sound reproducing components. The platter, main bearing, tonearm, and cartridge on the top platform are isolated from the motor, switch, wiring, and feet, which are mounted on the bottom platform. Viso-elastic cones separate the two platforms and provide vibration damping.

Top Tier Carbon Fiber Tonearm

Included with the MMF-5.3 is a pre-mounted top-tier carbon fiber tonearm. The counterweight’s center of gravity is level with the stylus tip and is also decoupled from the arm to act as a resonance damper.

The DC synchronous motor is separately isolated on the lower platform for superior speed stability and vibration control. The two-speed stepped motor pulley for 33-1/3 and 45 rpm offers highly accurate speed control.

Dynamically Balanced Platter

For superior sound at an affordable price, the MMF-5.3 includes a dynamically balanced alloy platter The precision stainless steel main bearing is sheathed in Teflon® for noise-free, fluid operation.

Ortofon Cartridge Included and Installed

The MMF-5.3 comes in a high-gloss piano black lacquer finish and comes with a great-sounding photo cartridge.

The Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge has a replaceable nude elliptical diamond stylus ($236 value). The cartridge is properly aligned and mounted so that set-up is a cinch!

Other features include high quality gold RCA connectors, special vibration damping adjustable feet, a built-in round spirit level for proper leveling, a dust cover, 45rpm adaptor, metal screw-on record clamp, soft felt mat, and detachable phono cable.
