Asynchronous USB DAC with Premium Headphone Stage
The HRT HeadStreamer is a high performance external USB DAC that connects between a computer and any headphone or audio system. The HeadStreamer is simple to use and provides a significant step-up in performance from the sound card of your PC or Mac. It's ideal for people who listen to music through a computer via headphones and would like to get audiophile-quality sound.
With its high performance asynchronous USB transceiver and digitally controlled analog attenuator coupled to an OCL amplifier, the HeadStreamer provides a state-of-the-art listening experience. All power requirements for the HeadStreamer are supplied from the USB bus. No batteries or AC power supply is required.
Plug-and-Play Convenience
Operating the HeadStreamer is simple. Just plug it into any available USB port and in a matter of seconds, you will experience a level of sound that will impress the most discerning listener. The HeadStreamer uses native Audio Class 1.0 drivers (present in all modern PC, Mac, and Linux computers). There are no additional drivers or software to install.
Asynchronous Transfer Protocol
Like the HRT Music Streamers, the HeadStreamer uses asynchronous transfer protocol to provide jitter free operation at 24-bit, 96 kHz resolution for better than CD quality when playing back hi-res audio files. LED indicators show the current sample rate (32k, 44k1, 48k, 88k2 and 96k) as well as the status of the mute circuit.
The HeadStreamer is ready for software upgrades whenever they become available. HRT's UpStream utility allows the HeadStreamer to be updated right from your computer’s desktop in a matter of seconds. |
