Purest Possible Sound Quality
For the purest possible sound quality, the digital input has no capacitors in its signal path, and the analog input utilizes a single DC-decoupling capacitor. Components along the entire signal path are minimized.
The digital circuit occupies a separate daughter board. The 24-bit, 96 kHz USB interface outputs a I2S signal to the Icon HD's high-quality DAC.
The built-in high current headphone amplifier is the equal to far more expensive dedicated headphone amps. The low distortion design makes the most of any source material, digital or analog. The high-quality analog volume control is quiet and responsive. Plugging in your headphones conveniently mutes the RCA output.
