Upgraded Version of a Tiny Yet Mighty USB DAC
The NuForce Icon uDAC desktop DAC has been a runaway hit. And now it offers even better performance as the upgraded uDAC2. It's now a full 24-bit, 96 kHz high-performance USB Digital Audio Converter (DAC) that connects your personal computer's audio with your home stereo, desktop sound system, or headphones.
New for the UDAC2 is the addition of a highly linear and accurate TOCOS volume control. And the headphone amp circuitry has been upgraded for a leap forward in sound quality.
The quality and versatility of the uDAC2's performance belies its diminutive size. With its extensive power supply, filtering capabilities and charge-pump circuit as a foundation, the uDAC2 processes incoming data via a USB audio receiver. A 24-bit, 96 kHz DAC chip then translates the data to a two-volt analog signal.
A double jitter-reduction mechanism at data level and at the oversampling filter stage keeps the signal pure. No capacitors in any of the audio signal paths ensures the highest audiophile quality.
The NuForce uDAC'2s performance equals or exceeds that of a great many audiophile CD players. The unit's exemplary flexibility, which includes analog RCA, digital coaxial, and high-performance headphone outputs, is bound to satisfy the needs of the most critical music lover.
No Batteries or Wall Wart Needed
The uDAC2 needs no external power supply; it's powered by the USB connection. It incorporates a high-quality TOCOSvolume control and is suitable for headphones with impedances between 16 and 300 ohms. |
