The 1,600-Watt Tiny Titan
The PSB HD8 powered subwoofer is specially designed for people who think they don't have room for a sub. The HD8 fits just about anywhere. But don't mistake its small size for small performance. This sub sounds HUGE, with its 500-watt RMS power output, and it really kicks out the deepest bass notes.
To overpower the laws of physics the HD8 employs Dual Opposing Heavy Passive Radiators to "fool" the HD8 cabinet into behaving as a much larger enclosure with much larger, longer ports. The results of this design should be obvious to all: Deep, powerful, high impact reproduction of even the most challenging soundtracks and musical performances from an incredibly small subwoofer -- less than a fourth the size of conventional solutions of equal ability.
The HD8 has all the power you need, and more, for movie house-quality sound, thanks to its dynamic peak ability of a big, bold 1,600 watts. The 8-inch poly-coated fiber cone woofer with high-density rubber surround gets an even bigger sound, due to the dual passive 8-inch passive radiators.
LFE Input Adds Extra Realism
LFE stands for Low Frequency Effects. Dolby Digital and DTS encoded DVDs include a special ".1" channel that includes additional low frequency information for effects. This 20 to 120 Hz bass information, with 115 dB of dynamic range, adds excitement and realism to a movie soundtrack. So the LFE input on your sub is a great feature for making sure you get the full movie house experience while enjoying DVDs.
The rear inputs allow easy connection with all types of receivers or other audio components. The adjustable phase control and crossover help you tailor the sound to integrate with the rest of your system.
The PSB HD8 measures a mere 10.5" wide, 10.5" deep, and 10.5" high, enabling it to fit almost anywhere in your room. So don't deprive yourself of a sub any longer. You're missing a lot of the excitement of move soundtracks and music.
