A few months ago, AudioQuest founder and president, Bill Low, stopped by Audio Advisor for a visit.
"What's selling?" Bill asked.
"Our best selling product just happens to be one of your cables," I answered. "AudioQuest Black Mamba audio interconnect is flying out the door. We have customers who've heard it coming back to order two, three – even six or ten pairs – more. Unfortunately, we are going to run out soon."
"No wonder it's selling. You are putting my $80-a-set RCA-800 silver RCAs on a $90 cable." Observed Bill. "That makes it a fantastic bargain. Plus, Black Mamba uses PSC+ copper, which is very smooth and detailed. You've really got a killer product there."
Bill thought for a minute and then said, "I may have another cable for you. Let me make a phone call."
A short time later, Bill returned with good news. "I have a few dozen spools left of another cable that's very similar to Black Mamba. In fact, I think it's probably a little better. Want to hear a sample?" We absolutely did.
