Energize AV Equipment with Cleaner AC Power
It looks innocent enough. But the detachable power cord that came with your DVD player, satellite receiver, or game console might be adding distortion to sound and video. While an AC power conditioner helps clean up AC power as it comes out of your wall, a poor quality power cable located after the power conditioner can still cause performance problems. That's because a substandard power cable can act as an antenna for noise, picking up airborne interference that degrades the sensitive video signal and muddies audio.
Stops Radio Frequency Interference
AudioQuest's NRG-1 low-distortion AC power cable stops airborne interference in its tracks. Then it goes a step further by putting an end to distortion caused by conductor strand interaction.
See the 'barrel' in the NRG-1 cable? That's an advanced RF Stopper which does exactly what its name promises. It filters out RF radio frequency interference in both directions. This prevents outside interference from entering the equipment. It also prevents interference generated by a digital component (DVD player, DAC, tuner, etc.) from reaching other equipment in your AV system.
No More Strand Interaction
NRG-1 uses a two 16-gauge (awg) solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors in a Star-Quad configuration in place of the stranded copper conductors used in most power cords. Solid conductors prevent strand interaction, which is the greatest single source of distortion in an audio cable or an AC power cable. The less complicated grain structure and fewer impurities of LGC copper significantly reduce distortion compared to normal copper or even high-purity copper. And AudioQuest's Star-Quad conductor geometry uses a spiral design, creating a fixed low-inductance relationship between conductors.
A Cheap and Necessary Fix
It costs so little to correct AC power cord problems with AudioQuest's NRG-1 low-distortion AC power cable. And the benefits to any AV component with a detachable power cord can be considerable. You'll notice the improvement in both audio and video performance. |
