Low Loss, Low Distortion, Silver-Coated Video Cable
VDM-3 video / digital cable from AudioQuest is specially designed to minimize distortion across an extremely wide bandwidth. Low-loss engineering means more of your video or digital signal reaches its destination intact and undisturbed for maximum quality.
Accommodates a Wide Range of Signals
A 75-ohm cable is a conduit which needs to be able to carry a variety of signals. It needs to accommodate relatively low frequency analog composite video (up to 4.2 MHz), super-sensitive SP/DIF digital audio (up to 24.576 MHz), uncompressed HDTV (up to 750 MHz), or cable TV / broadband (up to 1 GHz). That's a series of heavy demands for a cable, but AudioQuest comes through with VDM-3, which is specially designed to carry all these signals with minimum interference from the cable.
6.1-Percent Silver Conductor
VDM-3 uses a silver-plated solid copper conductor that is 6.1-percent silver insulated with hard sell foam. Normal 1.25-percent silver found in many other video cables greatly improves high-frequency performance for a fraction of the cost of solid silver. VDM's 6.1-percent silver conductor is much closer to solid silver, offering many of the benefits of solid silver at a highly affordable price.
Nitrogen-injected Dielectric, 100% Coverage Shield
Nitrogen-injected dielectric reduces distortion that would otherwise be caused by the insulation material. The combination copper foil and silver-plated braided shield provides 100-percent protection coverage and lower distortion by eliminating RFI and EMI airborne interference. Silver-plated RCA plugs are professionally attached with highest-quality AudioQuest solder. |
