Crank Out the Bass!
Athena Technologies' LS-300 floorstanding speaker uses the same driver complement as the company's full-frequency bookshelf speaker. But thanks to the floorstanding cabinet with a ported design, the LS-300 really cranks out the bass. You'll swear you're hearing a much larger driver than the remarkably efficient 6.5" woofer that helps keep the cabinet size small and the silhouette narrow. At only 9.7" wide, you can fit this speaker just about anywhere.
In designing the LS-300, Athena's Gordon Van Kessel engineered a ported system with a rigid curved cabinet. The 6.5" Composite Fiberglass woofer delivers fast and low bass response that puts excitement in movies and hi-fi. The super lightweight 1" aluminum dome tweeter is also fast and agile with a wide dispersion pattern that fills the room with beautiful music.

The new LS cabinets are gracefully curved for a modern look, and they're more rigid for improved imaging and tighter bass. The all new shielded drivers include a light and fast 1" aluminum dome tweeter, plus woofers made of extremely rigid light-weight Composite Fiberglass. These drivers play loud, but they're extremely low in coloration.
The frequency response of the LS-300 is 30 Hz - 20 kHz, and sensitivity is 90 dB. Power handling is 250 WRMS. The speaker is 34.7" tall, 9.7" wide, and 11" deep. The LS-300 features removable grilles.
