It Will Change Your Thinking About a Budget Integrated
The 50-watt-per-channel Azur 340A integrated amplifier from Cambridge Audio brings unprecedented levels of refinement, build quality, and incredibly low levels of distortion to the budget amplifier arena. If you've ever had second thoughts about a low price integrated because you didn't think it could perform well, the Azur 340A will definitely change your thinking. Its sound quality and feature list are unpredecented for the price.
Oversize, Ultra-Quiet Power Supply
An amplifier is only as good as its power supply, and Cambridge Audio didn’t skimp of the quality. The remote controlled 340A employs a custom-designed, oversized low-flux toroidal transformer that delivers 40 watts per channel into 8 Ohms with low noise and lots of musical detail. The exceptionally low-noise preamp stage incorporates sophisticated input switching technology for the perfect combination of reliability and convenience.
Frequency response is a very impressive 5 Hz to 50 Hz, and the signal-to-noise ratio is 92 dB. Built-in system protection against overload, overheating, and DC offset enhances the operational reliability.
Packed with Features
The 340A offers a full complement of features. These include five line level inputs with one tape loop, bass and treble controls that you can bypass for exquisitely pure sound, and a very handy headphone output. A second set of speaker outputs for multi-room operations completes the feature count.
The robust construction of the 340A is enhanced by a solid aluminum front panel. Cambridge Audio's trademarked aluminum-faced Azur remote handset provides full function control for every Azur compact disc player and amplifier.
A cost-effective, stand-alone Azur phono stage for the 340A will be available in the near future.
