"Engaging, Full-Steam-Ahead Presentation"
The fully-featured Cambridge Audio Topaz SR10 combines a punchy 85-watt-per-channel integrated stereo amplifier with an FM/AM RDS tuner. A completely discrete high power amplifier mated to a custom design low flux oversize toroidal transformer instantly reveal its audiophile pedigree – as will its sound – the first time you hear it.
The June 2010 issue of What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision magazine praises the SR10 for its "engaging, full-steam-ahead presentation and extensive spec at the price."
The Topaz includes four rear-panel inputs for connecting your source components, including an input for the SR10's phono stage for connecting your turntable. The phono section is compatible with Moving Magnet (MM) or high output Moving Coil (MC) cartridges between 2-6mV output and 30 - 50 k load impedance. There's also a Record Out for connecting to the recording input of a tape deck, CD recorder input, etc.
Front-Panel MP3 Player Input
Adding to the already weighty specification is a front-mounted 3.5 mm connection for your MP3 player or iPod plus a full remote for the perfect armchair experience.
A headphone jack allows for the connection of stereo headphones with a 1/4-inch jack plug. Headphones with an impedance of between 32 ohms and 600 ohms are recommended.
Twin speaker outputs are provided. The use of 'A' and 'B' speakers affords you an easy and inexpensive way to create a simple multi-room system. |
