"Warmth and Silkiness"
If your LPs cry out for detail retrieval, reward that faithful vinyl with Grado's new Statement Master cartridge.
"As a long time Grado user, I was quite shocked at what I heard; all of the Grado virtues, but with a lot more warmth and silkiness and much better dynamic contrast, including a lower noise floor," reports Ken Kessler on the Statement Series Reference in England's Hi-Fi News magazine.
Newly Redesigned Statement Reference1
The newly redesigned Statement Reference1 cartridges has had its coil design reconfigured, and the effective moving mass of the generating system has been reduced by 17%. This decrease in stylus mass allows for enhanced tracking with improved imaging, giving a quicker, more accurate reproduction of the music. All this is hand-assembled within a machined, new processed, Australian Jarrah wood housing.
The Reference1 uses a five piece OTL cantilever technology achieving an additional 5% tip mass reduction over the Platinum1 and Sonata1 models. The coils are wound with ultra-high purity long crystal (UHPLC) oxygen free copper wire.
The Reference1 uses Grado's specially designed true ellipsoid diamond stylus.
"Airiness and speed of transients" were two of the qualities that impressed Jeffrey Silverstein about the Master in his review of the Statement product line at www.positive-feedback.com. "I might consider checking out the Master for someone thinking about a moving coil - $800 certainly buys you a lot of beautiful detail and speed and transients - and you don't need a new phono stage." |
