Distinctive Design and Noteworthy Performance
The Music Hall MMF-7.1 turntable is a two-speed belt driven audiophile turntable employing the unique dual-plinth construction originated by Music Hall for performance way beyond its price. And to sweeten the deal even more, the MMF-7.1 now includes the new Ortofon Mojo moving magnet cartridge at no additional cost.
Distinctive Dual-Plinth Design
The Music Hall’s distinctive dual-plinth design isolates the critical sound reproducing components. The platter, main bearing, tonearm, and cartridge on the top platform are physically isolated from the adjustable tip toe feet, which are mounted on the bottom platform. Sorbothane hemispheres separate the two platforms and provide additional vibration damping.
And there’s even more vibration control built into the design. The motor, switch, and wiring are completely decoupled from the turntable and isolated on their own vibration-damping puck. The front motor position eliminates motor-to-cartridge vibration. And the counterweight’s center of gravity is level with the stylus tip and decoupled from the arm to act as a resonance damper, too. The precision stainless steel main bearing is sheathed in Teflon for noise-free fluid operation.
Premium Platter and Tonearm
The MMF-7.1 uses a premium non-resonant acrylic platter and includes a metal screw-on record clamp and a soft felt mat. It also includes a rigid, lightweight carbon fiber tonearm with flexible internal wire drawn from high purity copper. The high-quality gold-plated RCA connectors include a detachable phono cable, giving you an easy upgrade path in case you decide to switch to a premium-grade interconnect later.
For precise leveling plus another level of isolation, the Music Hall incorporates adjustable tip-toe feet and includes anti-scratch cups to help protect furniture finish.
High-Value Mojo Phono Cartridge
So that you can start enjoying your Music Hall immediately, it now comes standard with a Mojo moving magnet phono cartridge.
The Mojo is a fine-line stylus cut that offers exceptionally tracking ability. It is specially built by Ortofon for Music Hall and uses a Nude FG 70 diamond stylus type. Mojo delivers smooth and extended high frequencies and low distortion, plus a highly detailed and dynamic sound.
The MMF-7.1 comes in a high-gloss piano black lacquer finish. |
