"A Confident Little Sub" with BIG Sound

Low, Low Bass, Low, Low Price
The SubSeries 1 brings a whole new level of performance and value to the 'entry level' subwoofer category. In fact, it qualifies as entry level only in terms of its low, low price. Thanks to its many significant performance enhancements, the SubSeries 1 will deliver lower, bolder, and more musically lifelike bass than other subwoofers in its price class. And although it's compact and unobtrusive, it provides the kind of high-impact performance associated with many far larger and more expensive subwoofers.
In his March 2007 review for The Absolute Sound magazine, Neil Gader called the SubSeries 1 "a confident little sub that easily extended into the mid-30Hz range without drama."

Plenty of Peak Power
The SubSeries 1 uses a solid bass reflex enclosure to house an 8" polypropylene cone woofer with a 1" voice coil and a big 28-oz. magnet, backed by a dynamic 110-watt amplifier. But this only tells part of the story. The BASH 'Class AB' power amp with discrete MOSFET circuitry provides an outrageously impressive dynamic peak of 280-watts for big-bass sonic excitement that definitely puts the 'action' into action movies.
With crossover and gain controls, plus both speaker and line level inputs, the SubSeries 1 integrates well not only with the rest of the PSB product line, and also with many other speaker systems, too./p>
The SubSeries 1 has a 36-150 Hz frequency response, 106 dB SPL at 100 Hz, and measures 9-5/8" wide, 13-1/4" high (14-1/4" with feet), 14-1/2" deep. |
