AudioQuest Black Mamba II Interconnect
You won't find AudioQuest Black Mamba II interconnect anywhere else. It's an Audio Advisor exclusive. Black Mamba II features the same ultra-smooth PSC+ Perfect Surface Copper used in AudioQuest Diamondback ($150/1M) interconnect for superior signal transfer. It also includes silver-plated $80-per-set RCA-800 plugs.
Black Mamba II offers focused, detailed sound at a ridiculously low price. So how can Audio Advisor and AudioQuest offer so much performance for such a bargain price?
The Black Mamba II Story
A few months ago, AudioQuest founder and president, Bill Low, stopped by Audio Advisor for a visit.
"What's selling?" Bill asked.
"Our best selling product just happens to be one of your cables," I answered. "AudioQuest Black Mamba audio interconnect is flying out the door. We have customers who've heard it coming back to order two, three – even six or ten pairs – more. Unfortunately, we are going to run out soon."
"No wonder it's selling. You are putting my $80-a-set RCA-800 silver RCAs on a $90 cable." Observed Bill. "That makes it a fantastic bargain. Plus, Black Mamba uses PSC+ copper, which is very smooth and detailed. You've really got a killer product there."
Bill thought for a minute and then said, "I may have another cable for you. Let me make a phone call."
A short time later, Bill returned with good news. "I have a few dozen spools left of another cable that's very similar to Black Mamba. In fact, I think it's probably a little better. Want to hear a sample?" We absolutely did.
We received the finished sample a few days later, and Bill was right. This new cable sounds remarkably similar to Black Mamba, but is just a touch more focused and detailed. We decided to name it "Black Mamba II". Sort of like a sequel movie, but this time the sequel is better than the original. Supply is very limited, so grab the Black Mamba II cables while they last!

Pangea Audio AC-14SE Signature Edition Power Cable
Enhance the performance of source components, including preamps, CD players, tuners, and more. The Pangea Audio AC-14SE Signature Edition power cable brings the benefits of better transient response and a lower noise floor.
The AC-14SE is a 14-AWG cable that uses three different wire gauges consisting of a combination of solid and Litz conductors. The large-gauge center conductor is made of solid PCOCC copper. Surrounding this conductor are six cores consisting of one medium-gauge solid OFC copper conductor, which in turn is surrounded by six Litz conductors.
The net effect of Jay Victor's patented design is that every conductor is individually insulated. The braided shield is made of silver-plated copper for lower noise.
Specifically Designed for Source Components
Pangea Audio's AC-14SE Signature Edition power cable is specifically designed for source components, which do not require the same large amounts of current as receivers and amps. The AC-14SE provides more than enough current while offering multiple shielding and other features that facilitate extremely clean and noise-free power.
Pangea designed the AC-14SE specifically for wide-band delivery of power to line-level AV components. It will enhance the performance of preamps, CD players, DVD players, DACs, and other line-level components.
Superior flexibility means easier installation, and the lightweight design doesn't impede the effectiveness of isolation devices. The AC-14SE's 24k gold-plated contacts offer superior electrical contact. Special two-shot molded connector bodies protect vital AC connections for maximum current delivery and long life.
Pangea Audio Power Cables
Pangea Audio power cables offer the perfect balance of power, shielding, and flexibility for audiophile components. These cables have been designed, not from the AC wall outlet to the component, but the other way around – from the component to the wall outlet. The result is a cable that not only fully satisfies the 'real power requirements' of audiophile components, but which also delivers improved performance for both power and component isolation.
Pangea's 'component to the wall outlet' design results in a better cable that's designed just for the component you want to power. The cable gives you precisely what you need - no more and definitely no less.
More Isn't Always Better
Until now, all upgrade power cables have been designed according to a 'more is better' philosophy, leading manufacturers to increase the diameter of the conductor and the thickness of the insulation in an attempt to improve performance, but at the expense of flexibility. The resulting thick, noncompliant cables put a severe strain on the chassis of connected components.
Heavy, inflexible cables can also reduce the effectiveness of component isolation and suspension systems. This is a particular problem for sensitive source components (such as preamps, CD players, phono preamps, tuners, and DACs) that are typically placed on lighter suspension systems. Therefore, the AC-14SE has been engineered for flexibility and to put less strain on your gear, including isolation accessories. |
