The outer shell is billet-machined 6061 aluminum. Inside is the HRS polymer that Harmonic Resolution Systems developed with MoFi, and the face that meets the record is soft polymer, so the label takes nothing hard.

The bore is unthreaded and universal, so it lowers onto any plain spindle. MoFi says the mass was chosen so as never to strain a motor, suspension or bearing on the heavy platters it is intended for.
