An Oval Shape, Woven and Finished by Hand

Instead of one solid wire, which can kink over a long run, they weave many strands into a braid. That braid can't be machine-terminated, so each cable gets more than an hour of handwork before it ships.

• Mixed ends solve a specific problem. Pick this version when one component takes a banana easily and the other works better with a spade. That's common when an amp has recessed or shrouded posts and the speaker takes a spade cleanly, or the other way around.

• Plan the route before you order. Eighteen feet goes fast once the cable runs along a baseboard, around a doorway, and up behind a speaker. Measure the real path and add a little margin. These are finished by hand, so you can't trim them later.

Put each end where it fits. The banana pushes into the binding post socket until it seats. The spade slides under a binding post nut, and you tighten it by hand until it sits flat. Watch your polarity: red to positive, black to negative, the same way on both channels.
