EverSolo Built the A10 to Empty a Shelf
The EverSolo DMP-A10 is three components in one chassis: a network streamer, a reference DAC, and a fully balanced preamplifier. It is aimed at listeners who want to stop stacking boxes. A 6.5-inch LCD touchscreen handles browsing, and the EverSolo Control app mirrors it on your phone.
Connections are generous. Two coaxial and two optical digital inputs sit alongside an isolated USB-B port and HDMI eARC. The analog side adds one balanced XLR pair and two RCA pairs. A phono stage or a tuner can share the rack.
Two Drive Bays Mean Your Library Lives Inside
Two M.2 2280 NVMe slots each take an SSD up to 4TB. Fill both and the A10 holds your whole collection. No NAS has to run in another room. Playback covers native DSD512 and PCM up to 768kHz/32-bit, so nothing needs converting first.
Wired Ethernet or dual-band 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi handle the network. An SFP fiber port is fitted for anyone who wants an isolated optical run, though the module itself is bought separately. Bluetooth 5.0 covers casual listening, with SBC and AAC.
Where the Volume Control Earns Its Keep
The preamp stage is fully balanced. It runs an R2R resistor-ladder volume network rather than attenuating in the digital domain. Each resistor step is trimmed. Left-right balance adjusts in 0.1dB steps, and up to 10dB of analog gain is on hand for quieter sources.
An ESS ES9039 Pro converter and an XMOS XU316 processor do the decoding. Two subwoofer outputs are fitted, and the onboard DSP covers parametric EQ, high and low pass filters, loudness, a dynamic range compressor, and left-right channel delay.
Room Correction Is Built In, the Microphone Is Not
The A10 measures your room and adjusts its EQ to suit. That measurement needs a microphone, and none ships in the box. Use the one in your phone, any USB measurement mic you own, or EverSolo's EM-01. The carton holds a power cable, a trigger cable, a remote, three antennas and the manual.
The bench figures are low. Distortion measures below 0.000078 percent on XLR. RCA comes in below 0.00009 percent. Dynamic range and signal-to-noise both beat 130dB balanced and 129dB unbalanced. Crosstalk stays under -123dB. Response holds 20Hz to 20kHz within 0.15dB.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Tom Martin reviewed the DMP-A10 for The Absolute Sound on 19 July 2025. He described a sound that is "remarkably neutral and revealing, with a level of resolution that exposes details and precision" across his listening.
Martin singled out voices in the same review, writing that "vocals have a natural, present quality that makes you feel like performers are sharing the space with you" through the A10.
Who Is This Streamer Best For?
- You are collapsing a stack of separates — the A10 is streamer, DAC and preamplifier in one chassis, so two boxes and their interconnects leave the rack and you buy one power cord instead of three.
- You keep your music on drives, not in the cloud — two M.2 slots take 4TB each, so an 8TB library lives inside the player and there is no NAS to leave running or troubleshoot.
- You are fighting a difficult room — onboard measurement and EQ correct the room from the front panel, so you get the benefit of room correction without paying a calibrator to visit.
- You run a subwoofer with your main amplifier — two subwoofer outputs and full DSP crossover, delay and EQ are built in, so the bass integrates without a separate bass management box in the chain.
- You will listen on speakers, not headphones — the A10 has no headphone jack — every output is line level, feeding a power amp or active speakers. Add one of our headphone amplifiers on the RCA or XLR outputs and the ES9039 Pro still does the conversion, so headphone listening runs off the same DAC as your speakers.
How Does It Connect to Your System?
Balanced XLR outputs deliver 4.2V and RCA outputs deliver 2.1V, both from the same volume-controlled stage, so either can drive a power amplifier or active speakers directly. Two subwoofer outputs run alongside them.
A computer connects on the isolated USB-B input. A CD transport takes coaxial or optical, and a television takes HDMI eARC. Prefer an outboard DAC? The USB audio output passes DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32-bit. Trigger in and out switch the rest of the rack.
Pairs Well With
Building a system around the DMP-A10? Start here:
- Power Amplifier: The preamp stage is ready to drive one directly — browse Amplifiers.
- Subwoofer: Two outputs with crossover and delay are already fitted — see our Subwoofers.
- Interconnects: Balanced or single-ended, the cable matters on a preamp this quiet — see Interconnect Cables.
- Headphone Amplifier: The one thing the A10 does not do itself — see Headphone Amplifiers.
Frequently Asked Questions
What comes in the box?
A power cable, a trigger cable, a remote control, three antennas, and the user manual. A measurement microphone for room correction is a separate purchase.
How much storage can I install?
Two M.2 2280 NVMe slots each accept an SSD up to 4TB, for 8TB total. The player also has 64GB of internal eMMC and 4GB of memory.
What formats and sample rates does it play?
Native DSD512 and PCM up to 768kHz/32-bit. File support covers DSD, MP3, APE, WAV, FLAC, AIF, AIFF, AAC, NRG and CUE.
Can it replace my preamplifier?
Yes. The balanced R2R volume stage feeds a power amplifier or active speakers directly, with up to 10dB of analog gain for quieter sources.
How does it connect to my network?
Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi. An SFP fiber port is fitted for an isolated optical run, and the SFP module is sold separately.
Does it work with my television?
Yes, over HDMI eARC. Coaxial and optical inputs cover a CD transport or set-top box, and the isolated USB-B input handles a computer.
