Like a fine instrument, the Opus4’s body is carved from American maple, a tonewood prized for its warm, balanced resonance character. The wood housing damps and tunes vibrational energy naturally, giving the Opus4 a relaxed, full-bodied presentation that plastic-bodied cartridges simply can’t match.

The 4 Series body is also reshaped for better cantilever visibility, making precise alignment easier than ever.

Flux-Bridger Moving Iron Generator

Joseph Grado’s patented flux-bridger design keeps the coils fixed while an ultra-low-mass iron element moves in the magnetic field—delivering moving coil speed and detail with none of the fragility.

New for the 4 Series: an ultra-pure OCC copper signal path, cryogenic component treatment, and added internal damping for a quieter, more transparent presentation.
