Compact Desktop Stereo Preamp

Functioning as the control center of the compact desktop Pro-Ject Box Series, the Pre Box S stereo preamp performs basic input switching and high-performance audio amplification. Designed to drive one or more Amp Box S (mono or stereo), the Pre Box S features ultra-low noise ICs and dual-mono circuitry for exceptional audio fidelity with neutral sound.

The highly shielded metal chassis effectively rejects any vibration and electromagnetic noise. The 12-volt trigger switching is provided so that other connected Pro-Ject components can be power activated with the Pre Box S – including the Amp Box S and Switch Box S.

Short Signal Paths

The Pre Box S features SMD construction for short signal paths plus low output impedance for low loss with long cables. The metal casing protects against vibration and interference.

An IR remote comes with the Pre Box S and allows you to remotely switch inputs and adjust the motorized volume control.
