A freestanding motor sits apart from the plinth to keep its own vibration out of the signal path, while an inverted ceramic-ball bearing and an 8.6-inch composite tonearm give the whole design a stable, carefully engineered foundation.

This is a fully manual turntable with no built-in phono preamp: you cue the tonearm by hand, and a separate MM phono stage or phono-equipped amplifier handles the signal from there.

A Freestanding Motor and Inverted Bearing

Rather than bolting the synchronous motor to the chassis, Pro-Ject houses it separately, driven by a DC-powered AC generator for a controlled, low-noise signal that doesn't fight its own vibration on the way to the platter.

The 300mm MDF platter turns on an inverted stainless-steel bearing with a ceramic ball, and the low-resonance MDF chassis concentrates its structure tightly around that bearing and the tonearm base, rather than spreading it across a full solid plinth.

An 8.6-Inch Composite Tonearm

The S-shaped tonearm combines carbon fiber, aluminum, and resin, heat- and pressure-formed into a rigid, internally damped arm tube built to hold the cartridge steady as it tracks the groove.

Magnetic anti-skating applies tracking compensation without a hanging weight, and a TPE-damped counterweight controls resonance, while the standard half-inch cartridge mount leaves the door open to a different cartridge down the road.
