Reduced Depth Version
The "RD" stands for Reduced Depth, and the CCM663RD speaker will fit into tighter spaces than the standard CCM663. A shallower cone and a redesign of the easy-fit QuickDogsâ„¢ spring-clamp frame reduce depth to a more usable 3.6", while retaining everything that makes the CCM663 such a great in- ceiling speaker.
The familiar, yet discreet, 6" dark blue Kevlar® aramid fiber cone of the bass/midrange driver delivers a stunningly clean, detailed response. This, combined with the pivoting 1" aluminum dome tweeter for adjustable off-axis treble response and three-position EQ, make this one of the most versatile custom speakers around. The die-cast chassis of the bass/midrange driver provides extra rigidity which results in a cleaner, faster bass.
CCM6 Series ceiling mount speakers comprise a baffle carrying the speaker drivers and crossover, a mounting frame (with integrated bezel), and a magnetically secured grille. The frame is connected via side mounted terminals to the speaker cables, with the baffle connecting automatically as it is inserted in the frame.
Pivoting Speaker Housing and Three-Position EQ Switch
The pivoting speaker housing and three-position EQ switch give you optimum sound in your listening position. To tilt the tweeter simply hold it in one hand and angle it towards the listening position. Tilt angle indicators at 15° and 30° are provided, indicated by the dots on the tweeter body. The dots also correspond to the three-way equalization switch settings. Match the switch setting to the number of tilt dots.
