Since the introduction of the groundbreaking P40 amplifier in 1968, Cambridge Audio has crafted iconic sound in the UK – and Evo 150 SE is no exception. It delivers emotive sound, with exceptional clarity, resolution and musicality.
Working in close partnership with Hypex, the company's expert audio engineers have developed the NCOREx "Tuned by Cambridge" Class D amplifier technology. Highly efficient and compact, while maintaining the musical sound quality that Cambridge Audio is known for, these new modules deliver a massive 150W per channel (into 8 Ohms) to drive all but the most demanding of speakers.

After hundreds of hours auditioning many different component variations, and through improving the quality of the components that really matter, Cambridge made the Evo 150 SE sound even more detailed, open, engaging and downright enjoyable than its award-winning predecessor.
StreamMagic Control App
The Evo 150 SE is built around the 4th generation of StreamMagic, Cambridge Audio’s industry-leading streaming platform for seamless, stable listening across an enormous number of services and formats.
With the StreamMagic control app, audio can be personalized to your taste. A seven-band EQ allows you to tweak the sonics manually to an astoundingly precise degree, while a wealth of presets is offered tailored to multiple music genres and TV-watching scenarios. Room-optimization features in the app enable you to adapt the sound manually to your unique living space.
Comprehensive Streaming Connectivity
StreamMagic enables direct streaming from Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, Roon Ready, UPnP, and Internet Radio over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Because Cambridge owns and develops the StreamMagic platform itself, new features and services are regularly added to improve and increase its functionality.
For maximum wireless flexibility, Evo 150 SE gives the options of Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, and Google Cast. To share music across devices all around the home, it is fully compatible with Google Home, Apple AirPlay and Roon multiroom systems.
A Wealth of Wired Connections, Including MM Phono
Wired connectivity is equally well served. HDMI ARC means the Evo 150 SE can be connected to a TV, forming the sound foundations of your home entertainment system.
The built-in moving magnet (MM) phono stage means a hi-fi turntable can be directly connected with no need for a separate outboard phono preamp. That's a great feature, especially if you are just getting into vinyl and are looking for plug-and-play record convenience.
An RCA line input and balanced XLR inputs take care of other analog sources. On the digital side, two optical inputs, a coaxial digital input, USB Audio and USB Media sockets provide wired digital options that feed into an ESS SABRE ES9018k2m DAC.
Two pairs of speaker outputs enable the use of dual listening zones, for when you might want a secondary set of speakers in another room or even an outside area.
Easily Add a Sub and a CD Player
Adding a subwoofer is made simple via a dedicated sub out, and there are pre-outs for using the Evo 150 SE as a preamp or source only.
Pair the Evo 150 SE with Evo the CD, a dedicated compact disc transport designed to match its premium build and sonic excellence. Engineered to extract every musical detail, the Evo CD seamlessly integrates with Evo 150 SE, bringing your CD collection into the hi-fi evolution.
Includes a Wireless Remote
While all of the Evo 150 SE’s functionality can be accessed via the StreamMagic app, and the HDMI ARC connection enables simple volume control through a TV remote, a dedicated remote control is supplied to ensure complete ease of use for anyone in the room. The original Evo 150 was a Red Dot Design Award winner. Timeless, clean lines and a minimalist retro-modern aesthetic from designer Ged Martin. The Evo 150 SE further refines that design, enhancing and updating it for today’s home.
The Evo 150 SE’s compact footprint is no accident. Its 12” x 12” dimensions are the same size as a vinyl record sleeve. And yet despite its compact cabinet, it still houses a beautifully large 6.8” color screen, offering the choice of pure function or a taste of retro-chic style. Cycle through a clock display, album artwork and info of the current track, or else enjoy the mesmerizing tick of virtual VU meters.
Evo 150’s ingeniously user-friendly dual-concentric knob has received a stunning makeover with the 150 SE. It boasts a redesigned inner control ring finished in Cambridge’s trademark Lunar Grey.
A choice of two side panel designs is provided with Evo 150 SE, magnetically attached and easily changed. Pick from classic real wood or modern industrial chic. You have the freedom to switch with your mood or a change of decor.
