Sets New Standards for MM Cartridge Performance
The Charisma Ebony v2.1 MM is Clearaudio founder Peter Suchy’s Moving Magnet masterpiece, setting new performance standards for MM cartridge clarity, soundstaging, bass, and dynamics.
The Charisma v2.1 is Clearaudio’s flagship Moving Magnet cartridge, using the same Boron cantilever and new Prime Line stylus found in the company's top-of-the-line Goldfinger Statement MC cartridge. It is housed in a special Ebony wood body with silver inlay for added mass and resonance control.
The Charisma V2 was awarded the 2018 Golden Ear Award by Neil Gader in The Absolute Sound. "The Charisma reproduces even finer gradations of light and air in the upper octaves, while maintaining overall neutral tonality," raves Gader. Handmade in Germany
Handmade in Clearaudio's German factory, the Charisma v2.1's generator utilizes ultra high-efficiency magnets that are precisely matched, ensuring flat frequency response and excellent channel separation. The Charisma v2.1's output is a real world 3.6 MV, allowing it to easily drive most phono stages for maximum system compatibility.
The cartridge body is made from the finest ebony wood and is set with German silver inlay. The result? A quality of sound that, until now, seemed unachievable from MM cartridges. Utterly charismatic!
