Premium Cable for High-end Digital Playback
Clear Digital from Cardas Audio uses the company's flagship Matched Propagation conductors to transfer your digital content accurately. It’s the most neutral, detailed, and revealing coax cable Cardas has ever produced.
Don't compromise when it comes to cables for your AV system, especially when best audio performance is a high priority. When you need a 75 ohm coaxial digital cable for your high-end digital playback, look no further than Cardas Audio. Designed to complement the best digital equipment on the market, Cardas Clear Digital SPDIF / Coax will extract every last detail.
Clear Digital users and reviewers alike recommend this cable for its overall sonic characteristics, including tight bass, a solid midrange, and an effortless, airy treble. The extremely high-quality build also receives top marks.
"I wish I’d Bought the Cardas Years Ago"
"Would what the Cardas has to offer be worthwhile in your system?" asks Steve Graham, wallofsound.ca. "Using an inexpensive or low performance cable to connect pricey digital components is a false economy."
"With the encouragement of my lovely wife, I purchased the review sample. My only regret is, I wish I’d bought the Cardas years ago."
Matched Propagation Conductors
Just like Cardas Audio's flagship speaker cables and interconnects, Clear Digital takes maximum advantage of George Cardas' breakthrough design.
The conductors are Matched Propagation Kevlar core, ultra fine Grade 1, 99.9999% pure oxygen free copper with SPN clear coat (Litz). The conductor gauge sizes are scaled to Golden Ratio proportions and range from 41 AWG to 39 AWG.
"Impressive and Engaging"
"It’s a nice cable. A self-effacing type of sound with no real emphasis in any frequency. Overall natural and smooth sounding with midrange sweetness but not as much midrange emphasis or warmth as the older Cardas cables," observes mikey8811, forum.audiogon.com.
"It has a lot of detail and the layering of and space between musical notes is both impressive and engaging, as is the soundstage. The musical flow has a correctness about it."
Advanced Geometry
Cardas Clear Digital boasts cross-field layer geometry insulated in ultra thin extruded PTFE jacket. Its coaxial single conductor geometry has anti-static LDPE air-tubes bound with PTFE tape wrap.
For easy installation, Clear Digital is finished in an ultra soft extruded TPR jacket. Standard termination is Cardas SRCA or Cardas BNC.
Gauge is 1x25.5 AWG. Outside diameter is 0.350"/8.89mm.
