The rotatable hybrid tweeter module makes it possible to use the RUBICON LCR as either the left or right channel, or as a center channel speaker. The 6.5" woofer uses the ingeniously designed bass port to reach maximum bass depth. With the RUBICON LCR, we promise you a sound performance that will dazzle you and leave you with goose bumps.
Hybrid Tweeter Module
The hybrid tweeter module is a DALI trademark, and for the RUBICON series, it is built in Denmark. The tweeter module sees the dome tweeter cunningly combined with the ribbon tweeter for an amazing rendering of the high frequencies and a dispersion of high frequency sounds that outperforms all other tweeter technologies.
In the RUBICON series, DALI uses an optimized version of the ribbon / soft dome hybrid tweeter module, which results in a tweeter which can reach further into the higher frequencies than stand-alone soft domes and an audio output that’s incredibly rich in detail.
SMC Magnet System
With a pole piece constructed entirely from SMC, surrounded by a slitted copper cap, and enclosed within a large ferrite magnet, the effect of the SMC is focused and maximized, and reduces distortion as never heard before.
The use of SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) in the RUBICON series has many advantages, but the most gratifying result is a huge reduction of distortion from the mechanical loss in the magnet motor. SMC’S ability to deliver a high magnetic conductivity and a very low electrical conductivity produces all the desired qualities of a high-quality speaker magnet without any of the traditional downsides — and the result is a significant lowering of the coloration of the reproduced sound.
Wood Fiber Cone
The wood fiber cone uses a blend of fine grain paper pulp, reinforced with wood fibers, which creates a stiff, light-weight and well-behaving structure. In combination with a low-loss surround and spider suspension, this cone reproduces the micro details in the signal - unfiltered and with high accuracy.
Cabinet Construction
Dividing the mid-range and bass drivers into separated chambers enables us to individually tune every driver to its specific frequency range to maximize the woofer output.
As easy on the eye as it is on the ear, the design of the RUBICON cabinet pays tribute to the sleek and sexy DALI MENTOR MENUET series. Constructed from solid MDF, the RUBICON cabinet provides a sturdy base for the drivers which are screw mounted directly into the 1"-thick front baffle.
Styled with clean lines to keep a contemporary edge, the whole series comes in a choice of High- Gloss White, High-Gloss Black, Rosso or Walnut.
