Award-Winning Performance
The Debut ConneX DCB41 received a November 14, 2024 award from What Hi-Fi? magazine, recognizing it as the Best Powered Speaker for 2024.
"If you’re looking for a compact, good sounding but affordable hi-fi system, Elac’s Debut ConneX DCB41 might be perfect for you."
"We’re big fans of systems such as this. They’re neat, well-featured and the best of the breed represents excellent value. Given the Elac Debut ConneX DCB41’s aggressive pricing, it earns a rich recommendation from us."
"Utterly Brilliant"
"The Elac manages to combine a great spec with a level of performance, aesthetic and overall user friendliness that can't be easily matched by any other device I can think of near the price. It is utterly brilliant," observes Ed Selley at avsforums.com, which gave the DCB41 a Best in Class Award.
"This is a piece of equipment that does what great hifi should do; make you stop concentrating on the box and listen to the tune itself. There are pieces of equipment that cost many times what this one does that cannot do this successfully and it puts the Elac in a special place."
Built-In, High-Quality Amplifiers with Enhanced Bass Response
For superior sound quality, the Debut ConneX speakers feature two 50-Watt Class D amplifiers built directly into the speaker. These amplifiers have been acoustically matched to the ConneX drivers and are designed to run cool and efficiently.
ConneX includes Elac's proprietary XBass Enhancer, providing a better overall bass extension and output. You can turn it off if you prefer not to use it. For better lower frequency extension and to minimize ventilation noise, the bass reflex port on the DCB41 is directed to the rear in an "S" configuration.
USB Connection - High-Res 96Khz 24-bit
There's no complicated set-up for enjoying music listening via USB. Connect a USB cable from your Windows or Mac computer to the USB input on the DCB41, and you can enjoy high-resolution audio playback up to 96kHz 24-bit. The speakers' volume can be controlled by your computer's volume control. It's just that simple.
Flexible Connection Options, Including Bluetooth
The Debut ConneX connects to just about anything with a wide number of input options. Inputs include HDMI ARC, USB Audio (PC/Mac), Bluetooth (aptX), digital optical, and analog phono.
For wireless listening enjoyment, play your favorite music or podcast from your phone, tablet, or computer using Bluetooth. To ensure the best possible quality the DCB41's aptX technology delivers true CD quality audio from compatible phones and other devices.
"You Will Be Amazed"
"The ConneX speakers would be a wonderful way for smartphone users to discover the joys of listening out loud. For $600, this nifty little system delivers excellent bang for the buck," notes Gordon Brockhouse, soundstagesimplifi.com, March 1, 2023.
"It performs really well while watching movies, too, and I never felt need for subwoofer," reports DCB41 owner apbinu, hifivision.com, August 5, 2023. "I would highly recommend anyone looking for a compact and uncolored soundstage speaker. You will be amazed to hear what these speakers deliver with such a small size/footprint."
Built-In Phono Preamp
Vinyl enthusiasts are included in the ConneX fun. A switchable built-in phono preamp allows you to connect just about any turntable directly to the speakers using standard RCA cables without the need for a standalone phono preamp. A ground screw is also included for turntable use. And you can turn off the preamp if you would rather use your own phono preamp or if you prefer not to use a turntable at all.
Wireless Remote
To keep operation simple and especially convenient, the Debut ConneX DCB41 comes with an IR wireless remote.
