The UB52 features a 1" soft dome, concentrically mounted tweeter, a 4" aluminum cone midrange driver, and a 5.25" aluminum cone woofer.
Designed by Andrew Jones, Uni-Fi 2.0 improves upon the critically acclaimed Uni-Fi series. UniFi 2.0 incorporates numerous changes that elevate the performance beyond the originals. Newly Developed 5.25" Aluminum Woofer
A newly developed single piece aluminum dished cone results in improved stiffness. Combined with an oversized magnet, large diameter voice coil, and extended pole piece, these changes result in improved accuracy and bass dynamics.
Concentric Driver with Ultra-wide Sweet Spot
For an ultra-wide sweet spot with pinpoint accurate imaging off axis, the UniFi 2.0 boasts a concentric/coaxial driver rarely ever seen at this price point. With the tweeter mounted at the apex of the woofer, you'll experience better imaging and a consistent sound character throughout the listening area that is less influenced by the acoustics of your room.
Three-Way System with Vocals That Cut Through the Bass
Enjoy powerful vocals that cut through the bass with UniFi's true three-way system. Many speakers in this price range have one driver tuned for highs and the other tuned for both mids and lows. But would you ask two people to do a three-person job? The UniFi 2.0 has a driver for each frequency range: highs. Lows, and middle frequencies. New Bass Driver

The UB52 and UC52 have a front-firing port. In case you don't have enough space to place your speakers three feet away from the wall, you don't need to with the UniFi 2.0.
