HDMI-ARC Connectivity is a First for Powered Monitors
The Fives are the first powered monitors on the market with HDMI-ARC to connect directly to a TV for high-resolution, discrete two-channel TV sound.
ARC is a type of audio transmission directly linking your speaker output to your remote. It means a universal remote can be used instead of a handful of separate remotes. ARC stands for "audio return channel" and it's an exchange of data. Everything is being communicated digitally, including sound processing, back and forth through the HDMI cable. HDMI ARC sends audio in reverse, from a TV into an external speaker or soundbar, without having to attach a separate audio cable.
